Overview

Email is the default communication channel included with every OnPitch account. SMS and MMS become available once you complete toll-free phone number registration. Together, they form the core channels for reliable, direct fan engagement. While you can operate with email only, SMS is the minimum upgrade that makes OnPitch truly powerful for most creators.

What You'll Need

  • An active OnPitch account
  • Subscribers who opted into email (always available) and/or SMS (after phone number registration)

How It Works

Email Messaging

What it is: The default communication channel on OnPitch.

How it works:

  • Delivered automatically from OnPitch’s trusted sending servers
  • Supports subject lines, media, and links
  • Includes unsubscribe management for compliance

Why it matters: Provides reliable delivery without any setup, so you can begin reaching fans from day one.


SMS & MMS Messaging

What it is: Direct text messaging through your dedicated toll-free number.

How it works:

  • Requires toll-free registration and carrier approval before activation
  • All outbound SMS & MMS come from your assigned toll-free number
  • Once approved, you can both collect and message phone numbers

Why it matters: SMS offers the highest engagement rates and is often the most impactful channel for urgent updates. It’s the baseline upgrade for creators who want to unlock the full value of OnPitch.


Default Delivery

What it is: How OnPitch handles combined email + SMS campaigns.

How it works:

  • By default, messages are delivered to all subscribers who opted into email and/or text based communication
  • No filters are required to reach your entire audience
  • Optional filters let you target phone number-only or email-only audiences when desired

Why it matters: Ensures maximum reach across your core channels while giving you flexibility for targeted campaigns.
